We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team in Oak Brook, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machines to manufacture high-quality parts according to specifications.
Job Description
Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.)

Utilize CAM software (optional, but a plus) to translate engineering designs into CNC programs (may involve basic editing)

Secure and inspect raw materials
-
Load, position, and secure workpieces in CNC machines
-
Operate machines to perform machining operations based on programs and blueprints
-
Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as needed
-
Measure and inspect machined parts for accuracy and quality using precision instruments

Maintain accurate records of production and machine performance
-
Troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions and notify maintenance personnel of complex issues

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

0-5 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment (or relevant training/apprenticeship)

Strong understanding of machining processes and terminology (e.g., drilling, milling, turning)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

Working knowledge of shop math and basic measurement techniques

Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
